This post shows is about how to style a festive and comfortable outfit during the holiday season.
What is your favorite time of the year? Mine is undoubtedly the Holiday season! While I do prefer the fall over the winter, nothing can compare to warm festive drinks, Christmas lights and holiday jams that bring back childhood memories. We don't get snow here in LA for the holiday- or any day- (unfortunately), but fortunately the temperature does drop a bit - allowing the fashion lover in me to come out and play. Recently, I put together a cute but comfortable outfit for a day of Holiday shopping. I received so many compliments on it that I had to share it with you guys!

I decided to do some Christmas shopping at The Grove and see what deals some of the stores had to offer. Honestly, The Grove is underwhelming as far as shopping goes. The only stores I visit there are Nordstrom, Sephora and Zara. But, there are a couple options for eating, and the huge red Christmas tree is beautiful to see once it's lit.

On this day, I decided to get out of my sweatpants (which I have been wearing daily since the pandemic started) and put a dressier, but comfortable, look together. I paired a black leather skirt with some festive tights, comfortable booties, a white bodysuit and a warm black aviator jacket. I accessorized with a touch of gold jewelry, my black leather Kate Spade bag and one of my all time favorite baker boy hats.

These days, because I'm working from home, like so many other people, I am in leggings or a sweat suit most of the time. It was nice to get myself together and throw on a nice outfit for once and enjoy the Holiday atmosphere with a touch of style.

I want to encourage all of you to pamper yourself in ways that will make you happy. If that means making an effort to get dressed up every once in a while, I challenge you to do that. Even if that means putting on jeans and a nice top or throwing some lipstick and mascara on. This year has taught me that my outer appearance does effect my state of mind. My physical effects my mental, and when I look good, I feel good. Do not feel bad for pampering yourself. We are only human and can not pour from an empty cup. Remember that people learn how to treat you based on how you treat yourself. Your mental and physical are both related and I truly believe that you do others a service by taking care of both of those aspects of yourself first.
