My name is Patrice and I am a brand new first time home owner on the hunt for the best and most affordable ways to furnish a house, on a budget! This lifestyle blog is your go to for all things budget friendly for turning a house into a beautiful home!
A little more about me- I am a chai tea loving actress in Los Angeles, CA. I love fashion (petite fashion, for reference I am 5'1''), beauty, home decor & home organization. I'm a also licensed realtor! I have long natural 4c hair and I love sharing tips and tricks that I am currently loving!
One of the main reasons I started this blog is not necessarily because I just love to write (like everyone else will say lol). I started this blog during quarantine when, all of a sudden, life changed and many of us were forced to shelter at home, work remotely and in many cases, find employment. Auditions came to an abrupt slow down, and real estate sales took a hit with buyers reconsidering purchasing a home without job security. All of these unprecedented events gave opportunity for me to asses my life and consider the changes that I wanted to make in it; where I wanted to put more energy and the new goals I wanted to set for myself. Soon after, this blog was born! And, I couldn't be happier that I've joined this online community of talented and unique creatives and that I now have the opportunity to connect with you all about some of my favorite topics!
Story Time:
I went to University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY where I studied Biomedical Science. After graduating, I worked in a Microbiology laboratory for 2 years before deciding I didn't want a career in lab work, research or medicine. After heavy thought and prayer, I decided to make a major career change and move to NYC and follow my dreams of being an actress. I knew that if I did not make the move at that time of my life that I most likely would never do it. I knew that as I got older and comfortable with life that the chances of me making big moves would narrow. And, I was not ready to get comfortable yet and absolutely ready to take big leaps of faith. And, I am so glad I did!
For the past 10 years I have lived in 2 of the most expensive cities in this country, New York City and Los Angeles, and in some of the smallest apartments. Throughout that time, I have learned how to make money stretch in ways you'll never believe!
As an advocate for saving over spending and investing over indulging, my desire is to share ways to look stylish on a budget and tips on how to create luxuriously elegant homes at cost friendly prices. I am excited to share the best tips and tricks that I have learned over the years, and new tips I have discovered, with you!
